netid

The UW is now offering chat service for everybody with a UW netid. This allows for direct communication with anybody else on WiscChat as well as any XMPP [Jabber] clients around the world. This includes chatting with Google Chat, but currently does not support connection with AOL IM. Both Pigin and PSI applications support XMPP [wisc.edu] and AOL IM chat protocols.
